Police officers in Nakuru North sub county have arrested five people including the area County Peace and Accord coordinator Andrew Yatich.
The five are accused encroaching on private land belonging to one Francis Kimani under the pretext that it belonged to Endao Company.
Nakuru North Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner Mutua Kisilu said the court battle for the land has taken 18 years and continues despite a ruling made on September 17, 2017 in favour of Kimani.
“Endao land buying company which had claimed ownership never appealed against the ruling and the land was given to Francis Kimani,” he said.
Earlier, the over 100 members of Endao Company engaged in running battles with the police as they demonstrated across the 561 acre farm.
They had vowed to stay put and ensure no ploughing continues on the controversial piece of land.
